Just my 2 cents, having been to another place in Eagle River where they didn't even provide me with any material to take home, and quickly scratched down a handwritten list (with no descriptions) when I did ask for the exercises. It really helped that she was willing to come to my home and help me here. While she was with me I was encouraged to work to get stronger and to challenge myself to do exercises I normally would not do, to climb stairs. I normally would avoid to take the elevator. She took the time to explain the benefit of each exercise, and why we were doing it. She is very professional, personable, always on time and had great ideas for my treatment; as well as always being concerned with the pain level.

 

Julie gave me tips to relieve my pain. She suggested I use a small pillow next to the bed pillow to make a wedge for my shoulder. This worked beautifully and I am still doing this with much success. I was never given a lot of exercises to do at home. Rather I had activity modifications, that I could easily work into my daily activities and these helped tremendously!

Anyone is definitely in the BEST hands with Julie Light as their Physical Therapist! I highly recommend Julie! Read Less

Read MoreI highly recommend Julie Light, Physical Therapist, for her exceptional professional skills and treatment. I first met her last fall when my pain doctor sent me for another round of physical therapy in the hope that it would help with my unrelenting back pain. Frankly, I didn’t expect much as I’d been through it all many times before, without much relief. This time was different. 

 

Ms. Light did a thorough assessment, listened carefully to what I had to say, and developed a plan of treatment. I saw her twice a  week for six weeks. The time I had with her helped me immensely, and those results have stayed with me even all these months later. She helped me learn to walk differently, decreasing the load on my stressed vertebrae and her treatments gave me more improvement each week. 

 

She has a very pleasant personality and makes her patients feel comfortable as they work with her. She really knows her business. I would go back to see her in a heartbeat if I needed further physical therapy work done, and would absolutely recommend her to anyone who needs that kind of help. Read Less

Dr. Julie Light is the sole owner and practitioner at Light Physical Therapy. She started her career as a registered nurse working in busy hospitals and home health, this is where she recognized her passion for the rehab side of healthcare. This realization led her to pursue a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Washington University in St. Louis, tied for being the top physical therapy school in the country.

Following her education, Julie gained valuable experience at a busy hospital physical therapy clinic.
