Low Back Pain
At Light Physical Therapy, we are different! Our focus is on understanding the cause of your pain and giving you the tools to fix it. Our goal is to help you live your Alaskan dream without pain holding you back.

In your initial session with Julie, she will guide you through a series of tests to understand which movements exacerbate your pain and which ones offer relief. Right from the start, she’ll identify postures and positions that are contributing to put strain on your spinal joints and nerves. By learning to avoid these aggravating positions, you’ll decrease stress on your spine and allow your body to heal. Many times you will feel a difference within the first session.
At Light Physical Therapy, we don’t treat back pain as a generic issue. We dig into the specific problem causing your pain and address its root cause. For example, if walking triggers your back pain, Julie will analyze your walking pattern until we find a posture that doesn’t provoke discomfort. This targeted approach has proven highly successful. Many individuals have turned to Julie after trying traditional physical therapy methods that focused solely on exercises, without addressing the activities that trigger the pain.
Our goal is to give you practical solutions, not just temporary relief. Light Physical Therapy is here to help you regain your mobility and enjoy life in Alaska to the fullest!

Light Physical Therapy specializes in foot and ankle rehabilitation from infants to adults. Julie takes a comprehensive approach. Julie analyzes how you stand, walk, run, squat, jump, and balance. She critiques these movements along with any other painful activities to ensure proper foot postures and mechanics. She will test for muscle imbalances and provide for foot and ankle muscle retraining. Proper footwear and orthotics may be discussed as well to ensure you can get back to walking, running, and sports pain-free as quickly as possible!
